It is situated close to the source of the Savute Channel on one of the many lagoons within the Linyanti Swamp system, which makes game drives along the Savute one of the highlights of a stay here.
Wildlife viewing is the primary activity here, either on day and night game drives or while on foot and on the water (levels permitting).
Short nature walks can be taken along the Linyanti River and Savute Channel, while the camp's boat takes visitors along the waters of the Linyanti, with hippo and waterfowl alike to entrance.
There are also a number of platforms and hides from which to view and photograph animals and birds. One of the best hides is right at the source of the Savute and many species of game and birdlife can usually be seen from this hide.
The region has all the habitat diversity to make it a haven for wildlife, and is well-known for its elephant concentrations as they congregate along the waterways and lagoons during the dry winter months.
General wildlife viewing is excellent year round including impala, wildebeest, red lechwe, Burchell's zebra, giraffe, Cape buffalo, chacma baboon, vervet monkey, and warthog. Predator sightings of lion, leopard, cheetah, wild dog and spotted hyaena are good.

GAME VIEWING
The camp is close to the source of the Savute Channel as well as the Linyanti waterways. Predator sightings of lion, cheetah and wild dogs are good. Elephant viewing is amongst the best anywhere especially in winter.
Plains game viewing is good – zebra, giraffe and excellent hippo. Night drives on the channel are superb. Excellent birding. Perhaps the most topical issue for Botswana at present is its very large elephant population and the possible impact on vegetation and other animal species.
As a result and in recognition of the fact that in the Selinda and Linyanti Concessions Wilderness Safaris is responsible for one of the two highest-density elephant concentrations in the country, we have facilitated and partially funded two MSc studies examining vegetation impact and are currently hosting a PhD and further MSc researcher examining additional elements of this puzzle.
Botswana has a well-developed network of protected areas, and these include concessions that allow hunting as well as photographic safaris. We have chosen not to hunt in the concessions in which we operate and forfeit approximately US$1.2 million per annum in hunting quotas that we choose not to take up in preference for photographic safaris.
